Fees & Pricing
Transparency, before the fee is set.
Tax advisory is an investment – not a black box. Before any engagement, we show you exactly which services are included, how the fee is calculated and where we have flexibility.
Our principles
Four promises we make to you.
Many of our clients have been with us since our early years. That only works when both sides understand what they pay for.
- 01
No hidden costs
Every service is agreed in writing before we start. If it isn't in the quote, it isn't on the invoice – no exceptions.
- 02
Predictable monthly fee
Instead of unpredictable annual invoices, we offer fixed monthly fees that you can plan like any other fixed cost.
- 03
Within the legal framework
As tax advisors, we are bound by the German Tax Advisor Remuneration Ordinance (StBVV). It keeps fees comprehensible and fair.
- 04
Fees = value
On average, our clients save several times the fee in taxes, time and avoided mistakes. If that doesn't happen, we talk – not after 12 months.
Three fee models
The right model for your setup.
We combine the three fee models individually – depending on how you'd like to work with us.

Document volume
Number of incoming and outgoing invoices, bank transactions and cash receipts per month.
- 02
Complexity
Industry, international setup, legal form, headcount, special topics like crypto or real estate.

How closely we work with you: monthly calls, CFO service, sparring on structuring questions.

Frequent questions
What clients often want to know.
What does a tax advisor at GUHR cost in concrete terms?
It depends on your setup. Freelancers with cash-basis accounting start around €160 / month as a fixed fee (typical entry range €160–200), accrual-basis companies such as a GmbH around €350 plus €30 per employee and month for payroll, complex holding structures from approximately €700. After a 30-minute initial call you receive a written, indicative offer – free of charge.
How is the fee calculated?
We work within the German Tax Advisor Remuneration Ordinance (StBVV). The fee derives from the value (e.g. revenue, balance sheet total, income), the effort and the complexity of the work. For ongoing mandates we typically agree a fixed monthly fee that bundles these factors.
Is the initial call really free?
Yes. We spend 30 to 60 minutes understanding your situation and assessing honestly whether we are a good fit. You then receive a written offer.
Can I deduct tax advisor fees?
Fees connected to your business or professional activity are fully deductible as business expenses or income-related expenses. Parts of private tax returns are also deductible – we show you where.
What does switching to GUHR cost?
The switch itself is free of charge. We handle the communication with your previous advisor, the document handover and the digital onboarding. Fees only start once the ongoing engagement begins.
What if I don't agree with the fee?
Talk to us. If effort and fee don't match, we find a solution together – whether that means adjusting the scope, the model or the fee itself. We want long-term mandates, not quick invoices.
